Consumers must be confident that their food is safe. Our fats and proteins therefore comply with the strictest EU standards of food safety. The safeguards start with our raw materials: we only use fats from pigs that have been approved for human consumption and have been slaughtered in EU-certified abattoirs. With our integrated chain management system and track & trace system we can monitor the quality of our products throughout the chain. All of our fats and proteins are GMO-free and non-allergenic.
Quality and certification
The companies in the group are all certified according to the most stringent quality and food safety standards. Our production processes comply with European legislation and are subject to supervision by the government. Production is monitored with an integrated quality assurance system and our activities are certified under FSSC 22000, Good Manufacturing Practice, EKO-SKAL and USDA-NOP.
The quality and nutritional value of fats and proteins are determined in part by the freshness of the ingredients and the conditions during the production process. We therefore have a number of systems in place to monitor the freshness, quality and safety of the raw materials throughout the chain. For example, we collect the raw materials fresh from the abattoirs with our own refrigerated trucks and process them immediately.
